Short Answer: You Have to Mold It to Expand! (Yes! Expand Up to 20%)
Some parents thought the youth mouth guard is way too small for their kids so they didn’t even try to follow the molding instruction before returning. We have a 13 year old karate champion who is still using our youth mouth guard. Please see the explanations below. 1) Mouth guard will expand up to 20% during the molding process and may be too small if not molded properly. Follow fitting instructions to ensure the best fit. Few of our customers thought the youth size one was too small for their kids but realized it actually fitted their kids very well after following the fitting instructions. 2) Our mouth guard is actually slightly bigger than our biggest competitor.
Short Answer: Repeat the Process and Bite Deeper!!
Steps 4 and 5 in the instruction below are the keys to keep your mouth guard in place. In a nutshell, bite deeper for tighter grips (Step 4) and push mouth guard up and towards teeth and gums (Step 5)
Short Answer: Small Front Gap On Youth Mouth Guard Gives Your Kids Better Fit! (See Our Unique Design Below!)
Answer: The small gap for kid’s front teeth is designed for tighter fit. After putting in the boiled water for 40 seconds, the inner gel will be very soft and ready to mold. You kid can easily bite through the small gap at the front. Please keep in mind that mouth guard will expand up to 20% during the molding process and may be too small if not molded properly. Follow fitting instructions to ensure the best fit. Few of our customers thought the youth size one was too small for their kids but realized it actually fitted their kids perfectly after following the fitting instructions. Answer: Size Matters! Here is Our Promise! We back ourselves and we understand sometimes it’s hard for some parents to decide which size is right for your kids. Female adults with smaller mouth could go with youth size. Big boys with bigger mouth could go with adult size. Our promise to you is if you feel the other size could fit better for you or your kids after purchase, please let us know and we will send you a replacement or if you have any questions about the molding instructions, we are here to help!
