The heating and molding thermoplastic devices can be technique sensitive especially for single layer mouth guards. For example, if the mouth guard is left in the hot water just a couple of seconds too long, it can shrink excessively so that it does not completely cover the back molars. Or if allowed to cool a few seconds too long before placing on the teeth, then it will not form a proper impression of the teeth, causing poor retention and making the mouth guard feel too thick. To boil it right, please watch our instructional video by scanning the QR Code (You can also find it on the back of the package).
2 Sizes fit “Most” – Don’t Worry! It’s Totally Trimmable!
We back ourselves and we understand sometimes it’s hard to decide which size is right for you. Female adults with smaller mouth could go with small size. Big boys with bigger mouth could go with large size. If you never use our clear mouth guards before, please purchase the one which includes both sizes (3 Larges & 2 Smalls) instead of 5 Larges or 5 Smalls. Again, it’s trimmable so you can trim to perfection easily.
Heavy Grinder?
This lightweight one-layer mouth guard gives you the best comfort like you are not wearing any but if you are a heavy grinder or you chew mouth guards frequently, please consider our 2-layer mouth guards which are much more durable and also give you maximum protection.

3 Reminders Before You Start
1). Wash Your Hands 2). Measure 3). Watch Video for Step 1 Before You Begin!
Reminder #1: Wash Your Hands and Clean Mouth Guard: Clean the mouth guard by rinsing the mouth guard thoroughly with running water. It’s always a good idea to wash your hands and clean the mouth guard before putting it in your mouth.
Reminder #2: Trim to Perfection: If the height of the mouth guard is an issue because you have a very small mouth and / or extreme gag reflex, it can be trimmed with scissors to shorten the height of the walls and / or the length of the mouth guard for a better fit. Please note that during the heating process, the mouth guard shrinks approximately 20%, so trimming is not generally required with large or average sized mouths. If you decide to trim the mouth guard, make sure that the border extends at least 1/16 “above the gum line so that it will cover the entire height of each tooth after molding to ensure proper retention. It is important to keep in mind that the mouth guard should cover all of the teeth, so shortening the mouth guard is only recommended if it extends onto the gums behind the back teeth.
Reminder #3: Watch Instructional Video Watch the video above to boil it right BEFORE you start the fitting guide.
5 Easy Steps to Fit Your Oral Mart Clear Mouth Guard Right!
✅ STEP 1: Boil it Right! Bring Water to a Rolling Boil and Turn OFF the Stove. Put Mouth Guard in the Boiled Water and Let it Sit for 17 Seconds. (Watch Instructional Video First)
Tips: 1). Do NOT over-boil (IMPORTANT!!). 2). Do NOT place the mouth guard in the water while heating up to a boil 3). Do NOT use microwave to heat up mouth guard. 4). Please note that the walls of the mouth guard may start to curl in at less than 17 seconds, depending upon the size of the pan used to boil water and your altitude above sea level. Best results may be obtained by removing the mouth guard immediately with a large metal or wooden spoon as the walls begin to curl slightly together. Leaving the mouth guard in the water for too long may overheat it, causing the walls to fold over completely and stick together.
✅ STEP 2: Avoid Burning Mouth: Wait for a Few Seconds “OR” Do a Quick Tap Water Dunk Before Putting it in Your Mouth. Cooling Down Too Much Will Affect Your Fitting Experience Dramatically.)
✅ STEP 3: Bite Down Gently: Spread the walls of the mouth guard slightly apart to create enough room for your teeth to fit inside. Watch in Mirror and Place and Align in Mouth Carefully with the Centerline of Upper Teeth.
✅ STEP 4: For More Grips: Use Fingers to Press Edges of Mouth Guard Up & Towards Teeth and Gums.
✅ STEP 5: If You Get a Great Fit, Place the Mouth Guard in Cold Water for 20 Seconds to Set It Fully. Otherwise, Repeat Step 1 through 4 or Use a New One to Start Again (Yes! We Include 5 Mouth Guards in This Package.)
